Sara Coracero is an Outreach Manager at the Verizon Center for Customers with Disabilities in Marlboro, Massachusetts. Her duties include assisting with the administration of the Massachusetts Equipment Distribution Program, providing outreach to the community and training department staff on disability awareness issues. She has been with Verizon for one year and is a member of the employee resource group Disability Issues Awareness Leaders. Originally from New Jersey, Ms. Coracero came to Massachusetts to attend Clark University where she graduated with a B.A. in Psychology in 1998. She went on to work in various non-profit agencies including the Y.W. C.A., United Way, and the Center for Living and Working, an independent living center which provides services to people with disabilities. As a person who grew up with a neuro-muscular disease that affects her mobility, Ms. Coracero has always felt the importance of advocating for the independence and equality of people with disabilities
