Colorado native Mark G. Davis is the founder and president of Foresight Ski Guides.
In 1999, Mark G. Davis suddenly lost his functional vision due to a rare symptom of Multiple Sclerosis. An avid skier from a young age, Mark was devastated not only by the loss of his sight, but also by the prospect of no longer being able to do what he loves the most, ski and enjoy the outdoors.
Following the ragic turn in his life, Mark decided vision alone would not keep him away from the slopes, and with assistance from the Colorado Ski School for the Blind, Mark was soon back skiing Vail. Almost instantly he came back from his deep depression and felt stronger and more confident than ever.

The Colorado Ski School for the Blind has since closed but Davis wouldn’t let its spirit die and five years ago founded Denver-based Foresight Ski Guides, a non-profit that provides affordable skiing at Vail and Beaver Creek to visually-impaired people from across the nation.
